Business Image Development

Your Business Image

The first item on the agenda is deciding on the image you want to project. In this stage I work with you to discover your vision, then I develop and create a logo and basic design that will become the “business image”.

The logo should reflect you and the image you want to project.

Getting your vision on paper, or creating a new one that reflects YOU is what I do best- and it sets the stage for all of your publications.

Simple steps to creating a great Business image.

The Image consists of a set of graphics, which are designed within your individualized theme. The theme and art are known as the “image”, and it is designed to run throughout all your business publications– as a trade mark. All you need for me to get started are a Business Name, Slogan or tag line and a Logo Idea. When making these decisions, here is some “food for thought” regarding your choices.

The Name

The name of your business does matter! It should identify the person and the service or product that IS the business. In this instance-- the Business Name IS the Website Name, which aptly describes the service.

If you plan to use a website to promote your business, you need to search and purchase a Domain Name. I can assist you in doing a web search, and if the desired web address is NOT available, I can help you with your options. Keep in mind that the extension should be a .com whenever possible. When that is not available a .net or .biz is also an excellent choice. Extensions such as .org or .info are fine if they are site appropriate for your business.

The Slogan

A slogan is a catchphrase, catchword, saying, or motto that describes the person, service or product. This message, together with the biz name, is your chance to etch your name in the potential client’s mind. It should make a statement of what your business provides.

Be creative, descriptive, humorous, serious and professional. Put yourself in it! Make sure that together with the name it makes an impression.

The Logo

A logo identifies you, makes you unique, and helps people remember you. Whether its because of the print font, size, style or a graphic, it needs to incorporate several factors. It should reflect you and the type of business you are trying to promote. Think about what elements you would like to see incorporated into your image. In this case, the graphic embedded into the name tells you what he does! The print can reflect the tone of your business.

If you are using a graphic, I think it should reflect what your business is! Sometimes a splash of color or a photo can get the point across more effectively. A logo is the signature you use, it's that something that jogs the potential clients memory to recognize you. This is also known as Branding. You need to use this graphic throughout all of your ads and printed materials! With those three elements, I can create your personalized “Business Image”
